CD 9 Ultrasound

I woke up this morning at 6am because I was anxious about the ultrasound and couldn't sleep anymore! DH and I left the house early because we were tired of sitting around. I got my E2 drawn and then walked next door to the RE office. We got there 20 minutes before my appointment and the office was packed. We ended up waiting for 50 minutes past my 9:10am appointment. It kind of felt like torcher waiting that long to find out if my ovaries responded well to all the medication.

We were finally called back and only had to wait 5 minutes for Dr. A to start the ultrasound. He immediately said there were lots of follies on each side and then started measuring and calling out the sizes. Here are the results:

I have 40-50 follicles total, BUT 27 of measurable size (over 11)

Right Ovary: 13 (14, 14, 14, 14, 13, 13, 13, 13, 13, 13, 12, 11, 11)
Left Ovary: 14 (13, 13, 13, 13, 13, 13, 13, 12, 12, 12, 12, 12, 12, 12)
Lining: 13
E2: 2084

Dr. A thinks I will end up with around 20 eggs at retrieval and I am thrilled with that number. He is assuming that we will do the ER Sunday but that can all change depending on my E2 levels and ultrasound. Since my E2 result was 2084 I am only going to do 25 IU's of Gonal-F tonight and then after the see's my E2 level tomorrow they will give me new instructions. So it looks like I am pretty much "coasting" right now.

I will get my E2 taken for the next 2 mornings and also have an ultrasound on Thursday morning. We have made it over a BIG hurdle and are thrilled with how my body is responding!!
