This is the developing steps of embryos for IVF for a 5 day transfer:
0dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
1dpt....Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
2dpt...Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
3dpt (today).. Implantation begins, as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
4dpt...Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
5dpt... Morula is completely implanted in the lining and has placenta cells & fetal cells
6dpt...(1st beta) Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
7dpt... More HCG is produced as fetus develops
8dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
9dpt...HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on HPT
Hopefully "Lewis" & "Clark" (those names are compliments of my DH) have found there way to a comfortable spot in my uterus and are implanting today.
I don't feel like I have any symptoms, except sore boobs which I have had since before ET. I am happy to say that all of the pain associated with ER is finally gone. I can finally sleep on my side again and haven't woken up in the middle of the night because my stomach hurt. I almost feel back to normal!!
I decided to test out the trigger shot so I wouldn't get any false positives. I was hesitant to do it though because I wanted to be pregnant the 1st time I ever saw a positive test...I know that sounds silly but its true. Lucky for me, when I tested yesterday it was negative...so the trigger is officially out of my system!! I will probably start testing on Tuesday or Wednesday (beta day).
We got great news that 5 of our embryos made it to freeze, so we have a good chance of having another baby in the future!! We don't have any specifics on the quality of the embryos, they are sending a detailed list to us in the mail. I must say we are so relieved that we (hopefully) won't have to go through another fresh IVF cycle again.
How many days past transfer did you get a positive on an HPT?
Beta #1: 3 days!!!

Wow! 5 frozen embryos...that's wonderful news! Congrats and enjoy the countdown. :)
Love the names. I hope you start feeling some symptoms soon and get a positive. I thought about testing out my ovidrel so I could see what a positive test looks like, but I haven't yet.
I have my fingers crossed for you!
I am praying with all I've got that L&C (love the names!) bury in deep for a long stay! I'm going to be stalking your blog big time, as if I haven't the past couple weeks! :)
Fingers crossed!!!!! this is so exciting!!!
5 snow babies is GREAT! I am so happy for you. And I love the nicknames Lewis and Clark. That's perfect. Everything crossed for an amazing beta!!!
I LOVE the names!! If they are boys I think you should roll with it :O)
First off I'm SO jealous about your beta date...I don't go in until 10dp5dt, really don't know if I'm gonna make it! Is it me, or is this truly the worst wait ever. I don't know if its because I know I have little embabies in there, and its all about them latching on...but either way its making me crazy. Anyways, that's so great about your snow babies!! And I'm praying you won't even need them until down the road, and that Lewis and Clark latch on real tight!! Thinking of you!!!
Cute names! :-) Are you going to get the results after the first beta or wait until the second??? Cannot wait to hear the results!!!! And fantastic news on your snow babies, aka- future siblings! ;-)
wow. Wishing you lots of luck this week! Hoping for sticky little guys. (and I love the lewis and clark names..)
I love the names and congrats on the five snowbabies! That is wonderful. I am glad your experience is going so well (I know from my own experience there - no embryos/then no eggs) that things can happen, so I am so glad to read great stories so far like yours. Here is to Wednesday and your first beta. That is so exciting!
