I took my last Provera pill on Friday. My IVF nurse told me to e-mail her if I hadn't started by today (Monday). Well, no AF today!! I have to be on BCP by Wednesday at the VERY latest, so if I haven't started by tomorrow morning I have to go to the RE for an ultrasound.
They will be looking for two things:
- Rule out an ovarian cyst that would keep me from starting my period
- Thin lining indicating that I might not have a period, and he would then feel comfortable with going ahead and starting you on the pill
I don't think either one of these pertain to me because I am only on CD 31. It is not out of the ordinary that I haven't started so now I am worried that my lining will still be thick (waiting for AF) and I will have to postpone my IVF cycle!! For those of you who have taken Provera, how long did it take for AF to show?
I did acupuncture today and mentioned that I am waiting on AF, so he used the needles in places that increase blood flow. This should help AF show soon. This is so unnerving!

Ok, so AF still has two more days. No worries! Between Provera and the Acupuncture I bet it will be here by tomorrow. We are not going to worry....yes I said WE. WE are in it together girl!

Well I haven't been on provera so I have no advice. :( But hopefully with the acupuncture AF will be here very soon and you won't have delay starting IVF!

Ugh, I hope she shows. The rule is that she normally shows somewhere between 14 days after you took your last pill. Some get it earlier and some get it later. I hope she hurries up and shows.
Ugh, its very unnerving! I hope AF gets here ASAP so things can get moving! I have no experience with Provera but I'm hoping you wont even need it, GL!
I have been on Provera a few times. Depending on my body, haha, AF would start while taking the pills to 5 days later... Maybe add in some Parsley Tea and take lots of Vitamin C tomorrow with the hopes AF arrives then! Ah, pins and needles to the last minute!
