1st day of injections - Lupron

Some of my injectable meds were delivered yesterday.

1. Lupron (2 week supply)- $99
2. 2 vials on Menopur - $132
3. PIO shot (3 bottles - 15 ml) - $225
4. Lots of needles, alcohol swabs, & a sharps container - $0

The total for these injectable meds is $466 (this includes a $10 membership fee to IVP care to get cheaper prices). My stimulating medication (Gonal-F) that was donated was delivered to my RE's office and they will hold it until my next appointment.

This is what my breakfast will consist of for the 20 days!! Lupron, Dexamethasone, Prenatal Vitamin, and some sort of substance.

I was tossing and turning all night in anticipation of starting my meds this morning. I wasn't nervous about the injection itself, the Lupron injection was actually painless, I just can't believe this is finally happening!! We have been preparing for so long and now it's finally here!!

Here's to hoping I don't get horrible side effects from my new medication.....

Don't you love the bagel with a side of Lupron? I'm not used to eating so early...so that's been a change. But, I'm getting used to it. So far, no problems with the meds. We'll hope the same goes for you!

I've been on lupron for a week now, and I've been blessed with zero side effects. My friend wonders if this is because I'm getting acupuncture, but I'm not sure...

Cheers to our little syringes!!
