I left a message this morning for the nurses at the RE's office telling them that I had started my period. I mentioned that I would appreciate if they could talk to the RE and call me back instead of me having to come into talk to him face-to-face and spend $170 for 5 minutes of his time. Thank goodness they did (I saved $170) and it was my favorite nurse who called me back.
The plan is:
- Clomid 50mg CD 3-7
- Ultrasound - Monday July 27th - CD 14
- IUI #2 w/ HCG trigger - (date depends on ultrasound)
I asked her about OPK's and temping. In the past when I get a positive OPK my temp doesn't rise until 3-4 days later. She agreed that was strange and not the way its supposed to work (I joked that if my body worked the way it supposed to I would be needing her services). I told her my EWCM correlates w/ the positive OPK, but not w/ my temp. She said some womens temps just don't jump as quickly after O as they are suppose to, which is why my OB and RE have told me to use temps loosely. She told me to throw my thermometer away!! I probably won't, but I am done putting so much emphasis on it. She said the OPK's and CM are more reliable signs. I am having an ultrasound and being closely monitored this cycle so I won't need to analyze all the signs...whew!!! The big difference between this cycle and last is that my RE is not out of town, so I will be able to do the IUI. I am feeling hopeful again.
DH and I are going on a nice relaxing trip this weekend. We are leaving thursday and can't wait to do nothing!!!

Nothing beats a great nurse and a doctor who isn't going out of town. Sounds like a wonderful plan...I hope it involves a baby after 9 months! :)

yay! that's great! i'm glad you saved $170 and got the good nurse! at least think about it this way... if you go by your CM and OPKs, they show ovulation before your temp rise is showing it, so you'll have spermies in there waiting even if you're not Oing until a day later for some reason. but like they said, you probably just have a slow temp rise!
Sounds like the beginnings of a great cycle! Maybe its a lucky July for us both (fingers, toes and eyes crossed haha)!!! :)
Congrats on the new plan! And on the extra $170 bucks you can put towards your getaway.
Hoping this is it for you!
Praying for you....so glad to find your blog...Just blog hopping and enjoyed reading your blog. I love reading about new blog friends....

It feels so good to have a plan. I'm so glad you're on track and on your way!
PS- was your background always lime green? I love the green! It's so cheery! :)
Good luck with your cycle this month! Try to not let the clomid get to you - it always made me cranky.
