Catching up

DH and I had a great weekend in the country w/ my family. We got some sun, swam in the river, rode ATV's and lit fireworks. The only bummer was that DH lost his wedding ring in the river!! I always take mine off when I go swimming so I asked him if he wanted to leave his behind with mine. He said he has never had a problem with it getting loose so he was just going to wear it. Well after we got back from a float down the river he noticed it was gone. He was devastated. We went back in the river and looked for it knowing there was not a good chance of finding it. The river is very clear, but it is swift and deep in some places. I told him we would just buy another one even though we don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a ring when we have to spend so much on TTC. He was mostly upset b/c of the sentimental value...he will never be able to wear the ring that he wore on our wedding day...he is so sweet. We had a very relaxing time besides the ring debacle. I didn't think about TTC much...I don't even know where I am at in my cycle. It's nice not to stress. I think I should start this weekend....we will see!!

I've just stumbled on your blog, and it looks like we're on a similar journey! I'm so glad you've put your story out here, it's so good to know we're not alone.

DH and I are going tubing in New Braunfels, Tx, the last weekend of this month. I loooove tubing, but I'll miss the margaritas we usually take along! :)

Oh that stinks about his ring! A friend of ours lost his on his honeymoon! Glad you had a good weekend otherwise.

Sounds like you had a great weekend! So sorry about DH's ring! Your hubby is so sweet for caring about the sentimental value of the ring...my husband is also very sentimental about his ring!
