OPK's

This cycle is really throwing me for a loop.

I had creamy CM on CD 8, which is way earlier than the last 11 cycles.
I started my OPK's on CD10 and got a positive on CD 12 which again was early for me.
I assumed I would O on CD 14 or 15, I usually O anywhere between CD 16 - 19.
Between the clomid and positive OPK on CD 12 all signs pointed to early (normal) ovulation.
I usually don't take my temp, but since I didn't get EWCM until yesterday, I started temping CD 13. My temp is still low today!!

I am starting to question the OPK's. Has anyone else found these inaccurate? In the past I have found them to be helpful, but this time seems different. As I understand it, a positive OPK indicates O within 12-36 hours...right???

i've heard clomid can cause false positives on opks... but i would think by now you're okay... here's what i found:
Q: Does Clomid cause problems with OPKs?

A: Clomid (Serophene/clomiphene citrate) can cause a false positive in OPKs if taken too soon after finishing the prescription. According to most of the manufacturers you should wait at least 3 days before using an OPK. If you take Clomid days 3-7 you can begin testing on day 10. If you take it 5-9, you should wait until day 12.

I was also going to say that I heard clomid can cause conflicting results, however, I don't know for sure since I've never been on clomid (yet) myself. Sorry.. I am sure that is very frustrating!

I used OPKS with Clomid all 4 months I was on it and my OPKs were pretty accurate but then again, I always O'd CD 16 and later so I didnt start testing until CD 13. Im sorry its frustrating, I hope your body figures itself out soon!
