Flyin' high!

LITERALLY!!

The night before my ER last week our friend who is a pilot told us to call him anytime we wanted to go for a quick flight.  I told him we would go anytime!!!  He told us to meet him at the airport at 3:30pm that day!  When we got to the airport he asked us if we were hungry and if we wanted to go to dinner in Memphis to have the best BBQ ribs....considering we live in St. Louis we were flabbergasted!!  So we got on the 4 seater plane and traveled 285 miles to eat dinner.

The sunset as we landed in Memphis was beautiful!!

We walked around Beale Street after dinner.

Looking down on Memphis on the way home

We took a flight to Memphis, had dinner, walked around Beale Street, flew back home, and were in our own bed by 11pm!  It was so fun and we felt so lucky to be able to go on such an amazing adventure.  It was a great way to keep our minds off the ER.

This is my 200th post!!

How fun! Our neighbor is a pilot also and would ask if we wanted to go to Emporia (about an hour drive away) for lunch on a few occasions. It's so cool to have that option and just jump in a plane and go.

What a magical experience. Look at you, jet setting around the country for that perfect dinner.

Good luck surviving your two week wait, and congratulations on your 200th post.
